Embrace the Camera….

Today, River decided she wanted to bury some treasure….but there was one problem…there were BUGS OUTSIDE!!  She kept asking me why there were bugs outside.  I told her that we were in their home.  She wanted me to tell her the name of each bug….she said that would make her feel better about them.  Of course, I didn’t know the name of most..so I had to make them up!!  Her reactions to the bugs were hilarious….but once she noticed I was taking pictures..she started to giggle and laugh.

Then she decided to start making funny faces and she decided we both needed to make funny faces….

Inspired by Emily….even though she is on vacation….we are still Embracing the Camera….

Embrace the camera…..old photos

Looking back through old photos is always fun.  We’ve been slowly trying to scan them into our computer……but there are so many!  I found this old photo from 1998 of Tuesday and I…she was about 4 months old.  I was 31 years old……so young.  Tuesday was the cutest little round baby….she was all rolls and fat!!

Go embrace the camera today……

Mother’s Day….

It was such a wonderful Mother’s Day.  The weather was perfect, along with everything else!

I got breakfast in bed..and then we all got into bed and watched some bad tv.  Then, we did some yard work….some..not a lot!  Then we went off to my favorite Ethiopian restaurant in Philadelphia!  Yum!

After we got back from dinner, I tried to take some family photos….

That didn’t go too well……they sort of got sillier and sillier…..It was a great day!

birthdays…..

So, yesterday was my 44th birthday……it was a wonderful day……filled with good food and awesome gifts……and spending time with family.

And it was also the day I decided to announce that I am pregnant….with twins……I’m now 14 weeks along and feeling better and better each day.  It’s been a long 3 months…..filled with lots of morning sickness and sleepiness…but the excitement and joy makes it all worth it.   Twins do not run in our family…as far as I know.  According to the doctors..the older you are and the more pregnancies you’ve had..the greater your chance of having twins!  This was the first picture I got of the little guys…when they were only 7 weeks old..they are much bigger now..as is my stomach!

I was incredibly surprised when the doctor said there were twins…but I was more overjoyed that their little hearts were beating and they were healthy!
