Robot costume deja vu……

This year, River decided she wanted to be a robot…a pink robot….so..it took awhile..but today..we finally got started on making her costume…better late than never!  This time around, I knew what I was doing..since I made Quinn a robot costume two years ago!  First, I had to find two boxes that would fit her body…..

Then we had to figure out all the holes…eyes, mouth, arms, head…..etc.  Then I had to tape everything..and we had to start decorating!  Finally, everything was ready….and the glue was dry!

It was time to spray paint!  It is always fun seeing all the elements coming together…the spray paint brings it all together!  Right now..it looks like a giant lego….

Another Halloween…

Well, another Halloween has come and gone..and it was a lot of fun..maybe one of the funnest Halloweens ever!  It rained, but that was alright…the kids all had a great time.  River was so excited to get into her costume.  Every piece of candy she received was more exciting than the last!  She just couldn’t believe that people kept giving her candy!  After about an hour, she got incredibly tired, since we had skipped her nap.  She decided she wanted to head home, but then we would pass another house and she would announce that she wanted to trick or treat again.

Halloween…

Halloween is like so many other things that you get involved in….with your children…where, you end up doing things for your kids…and then their friends…one thing leads to another…and before you know it…..it’s way out of control…….at least that is how it always seems around here.  Not only does Tuesday want to be a super hero..but she wants her friend to be a super hero.  Of course, they have to look exactly the same….so of course….I have to make both costumes…..I should not complain..it could be worse…this costume is pretty easy.  I am actually recycling her costume from last year.   She was a ghost last year (don’t ask!…long story…), so she wanted to use the white sheet to make the capes…..I actually had all the materials!  And Quinn..he wants to be an Orioles player, so I had to buy all that stuff..he wanted the real thing..not some cheap imitation!  And River…I took the easy way out on that one….I bought a little pumpkin costume!
