Water for Christmas Etsy Shop…..

For the second year in a row, I am helping out a great cause…One Billion Thirsty.  One Billion Thirsty “connects passionate donors, activists and innovators, enabling the best solutions to impact those most in need of clean water.”  They are currently having a Water for Christmas Etsy sale where all proceeds from items sold through their shop go directly to clean water projects in Sierra Leone, West Africa.  Over the past two years, the Water for Christmas Etsy shop has raised more than $10,000 for clean water projects around the world.

I have donated a woolie to their Etsy shop…check it out HERE:

Giveaway…of sorts…

2010-04-23.jpg

I’ve been wanting to do some type of giveaway for awhile now…..so I thought I’d combine two things into one….

As you know, The Cloth Diaper Foundation is having their Green Mountain Benefit Auction now through April 30th!  All proceeds go to help their organization.

So, anyone who makes a bid on any of the items, including the custom pair of shorties by Catchick6 Creations….leave a comment in my comment section and let me know what you bid on…..at the end of the Auction, April 30th, I will do a random drawing….and I will make that person a pair of custom shorties…so if you bid on the custom pair of shorties, you will get another pair…or if you bid on something else..you will still get a custom pair of shorties…..

Of course, if you already bid on something, that’s awesome….just write me a comment in my comments letting me know what you already bid on!

Bid away and help a great cause!

Little Big Planet Sack Boy…..

My children love to read….they love to draw…they love to play outside….they love to ride their bikes…..they love to be creative…..and they love video games…I hate to admit it..but they do…..and right now they are obsessed with Little Big Planet….I don’t know much about the game..but what I do know is…it is based around a little popit or sack boy…and he is the cutest thing ever!  I had fun just getting him dressed and making him move and smile and laugh….and cry.  He is so adorable…so I just had to make him into a little applique…..

I’m going to be involved in several giveaways in February.

The first one is sponsored by The Etsy Cloth Diaper Team.   They are starting a new series called “Fluff-a-rump on hump day!” Every Wednesday in February a team shop will be featured, introducing themselves and giving some background on their shop. I’m also going to be featured in a blog review giveaway.  Over at LuvsJurn , Patricia is featuring a Cloth Diapers Expose.   She is featuring a huge cloth diaper review/giveaway event starting in February.  I will be one of the featured shops and there will be a chance to win a custom woolie by me!  You can go to her blog and check out all the information.

And finally, Megan over at Newly Wed, Newly Bred is going to be doing a review of my woolies also.   Included in the review will be a giveaway for a custom woolie.  I will let you know when “my” review goes up on her site.

Spring Cleaning…a bit late…

Well, I finally got around to cleaning out my woolie sweater closet.  I should have taken a “before” photo..but I didn’t think of that until AFTER the cleanup!  I filled two giant trash bags with sweater scraps!  I hate throwing scraps away..I always think, maybe I can use them for something.  But the scraps were taking over the closet.  And I know that in another six months, the closet will be filled with more scraps! Also, please ignore the ebay postal boxes that I have used as separators!  I need to actually make some separators out of wood!
